To be able to vote in the local elections on 5th May 2022, you must register online, or on a paper form, to the Elections Office, by midnight Thursday 14th April 2022.
For a postal vote apply by 5pm on Tuesday 19th April 2022, or for a proxy (someone to vote for you) apply by 5pm on Tuesday 26th April 2022. In both cases the Elections Office require a paper form.
You can vote if you're registered to vote, 18 years or over, and a British, Irish or European Union citizen, or a Commonwealth citizen who has leave to enter or remain in the UK, or who does not require such leave.
No fixed address? You can still register to vote by declaring a local connection.
In hospital? You can still register to vote using your home address.
